How to get to Porto in order to start the Camino Portugues
Travelling to Porto is really simple, since it counts on really good connections. Here, we sum up the main entry ways to Porto:
- By plane: the Porto airport, Francisco Sa Carneiro (OPO) counts on international connections to the main Spanish, European and American cities.
- By bus: Alsa and Eurolines are the two companies with regular connection to arrive to Porto by bus from Spain or Europe. From Lisbon, the route 50 of Rede Expressor company is the fastest one.
- By train: even though the train connections to Porto are not the best ones, it is possible to arrive from Vigo on a regional train that connects both cities twice a day. From other points of Spain, such as Barcelona or Madrid, the best option is to travel to Lisbon and, from there, to Porto.
