The Camino Ingles (English Way) is one of the most popular Jacobean Routes among pilgrims arriving in Santiago.

Among its attractions we find its short duration (the English Way is covered in 3 or 5 stages), its good signage, its medium level of difficulty and an acceptable network of accommodation and services, among which is the Paq Mochila de Correos.

Ferrol and A Coruña are the current starting points of a Route whose origins lie in the sea, where pilgrims from northern Europe arrived. Today we invite you to discover its attractions through a Map with Top 10 things to see and do on the Camino Ingles.

1. Before leaving Ferrol visit the military arsenal, jewel of the Spain of the Enlightenment, and stroll through the Magdalena neighborhood contemplating its beautiful modernist buildings.

2. Discover the Monastery of O Couto in Narón, taste the famous Neda bread and visit the Humor Museum of Fene.

3. Take a break on the beaches of Cabanas and visit the Torreón de Os Andrade and the historic center of Pontedeume. Save some energy to hit the Fragas do Eume Natural Park and the Caaveiro monastery.

4. Enjoy the sandy areas in Miño and the marshes of the Baxoi river. Discover Betanzos, one of the most important medieval cities in Galicia. Do not hesitate to taste the famous omelette.

5. Make a stop on the Camino Ingles and enjoy the Mariñas Coruñesas e Terras do Mandeo Biosphere, with its epicenter in Paderne.

6. In Hospital de Bruma (Mesía) you can reminisce upon the oldest pilgrims' hospital on the Camino Ingles, in the place where the public hostel is today.

7. As you go through Ordes, contemplate its numerous examples of urban art and in Sigüeiro (Oroso) enjoy the Tambre river.

8. When you arrive in Santiago de Compostela go to the Post Office (Rúa do Franco, 4) to leave your backpack, bike or walking stick at the storage room or to send them back home. Visit the Cathedral, free of change, get to know the old town and enjoy Galician gastronomy and the city of he Apostle.

A. If your starting point is in A Coruña, discover the old city and María Pita, enjoy the Atlantic Ocean from its promenade and visit the Tower of Hercules, the only Roman lighthouse and the oldest in operation in the world.

B. Get to know the rich architectural heritage of Abegondo and stop in Carral to taste their bread.

In Hospital de Bruma, the two overland itineraries of the English Way join together, so pilgrims arriving from A Coruña and Ferrol will join their steps to Santiago.
