In Vilanova de Arousa, the pilgrim can travel part of the Ruta del Mar and emulate Teodoro and Anastasio, the disciples of the Apostle Santiago who transferred his body from Palestine to Galicia.

After taking a boat in the port of Vilanova, the pilgrim will cross the Ría de Arousa and ascend the Ulla river, contemplating the only maritime-fluvial Via Crucis in the world made up of 17 centennial cruises that mark this Camino de Santiago.

In addition, you can enjoy some of the best-known towns in the Rías Baixas such as Sanxenxo, Ribeira, O Grove, Cambados or Vilagarcía de Arousa.

Once in Pontecesures, the Spiritual Variant joins the Portuguese Way again, taking the pilgrim to Padrón, the last stop before reaching Santiago de Compostela.
